Its officially summer

Am so mega excited, its summer officially! This week has been so beautiful and sunny even though I was in at work all day but I got the chance to take a walk in the sun for a few minutes. Decided to do a post today on a trend that I love very much - Tartans! Tartans are of the Scottish heritage and thanks to the fashion designers and the high street that do a good job interpreting runways style -we can all now take part in this Scottish heritage. I purchased this cropped Tartan pants and wasnt really sure what to pair it with especially because of the colour. But the epiphany came and what better top to have worn it with. With Tartans, plaids and Kilts keep it simple and just as with prints choose monotonous colours when pairing or styling them. A few pics below.

Had a mismatched nail colour that blended in pretty well.

A touch of Fur.

Lucy Liu (Keep accesories to the minimum with Tartans)

who wore this Elie Saab Better? Beyonce Knowles or Olga Kurylenko

Just following on from last post on how a simple dress can be transformed. This again is a simple dress! personally I think B rocked this dress fabulously. She seems to have done the dress soo much justice compared to the runway model! My thoughts though. What do you think?

My transformation of a simple outfit

Hey all, its been a minute I came on here, it has been one manic week with makeovers and styling here and there. I love it! Anyways hope we are all enjoying the spring, I love the cool breeze and the colours I see on the high street both in store and on people, totally fabulous! So a few days ago there was an event in my local church Motions of the Heart, it was great and I had fun. On the sunday we had a colour code -white and black with a touch of red. Personally I love white and red is just beautiful especially a red pair of shoes. So I had a white shirt but I wanted to make it a bot more edgy and classy cause I predicted most people would just throw on a white shirt anyways. So my mind went to flowers, brooches, ribbons, neck pieces etc and I eventually decided on this look. It turned out great! So dont feel daunted by the simplicity of a dress, when you buy one go wild with your thinking on how to style it to make it different! Dare to be different. Pics below  enjoy.

With one of my GQ men!lol!trust me when I say this, he is just one of them!

Rest of the crew!love it
All the way from high school..fastforward 10years on!

Oprah Winfrey in Honor

Love this Emerald green dress by Honor on Oprah! She chose a dress that works so well for her bodyshape but most important;y just to say that the fact that its a skinny ,model who worked it for this designer on the runway does not mean that a plus sized woman cannot work it even better. Oprah wore the hell out of this outfit and I love it!

Oprah wore this at the inaugural graduation for the Leadership Academy for Girls in Henley on Klip, South Africa this January
